Bioparodies

A website cataloguing all the science (mostly biology, with a few exceptions) song parodies written by Leila. She created Bioparodies because 1) too many people told her to put her parodies on Youtube/a website 2) to organize all of her work.

Leila Somani-Davis is in the second year of a research based masters in immunology at McMaster University. She wrote her first song parodies as a high school student to fulfill the creative component of various assignments. Only in 2021, during her second year of university, did she start writing them as a method of studying for her classes, after the first song parody she wrote was so well received. (It was even featured in the March 2021 McMaster Faculty of Science Newsletter.) Her personality can essentially be broken down into a love of biology, music, her cats (see her cat Oreo on the left), and a variety of tv shows/books. Her other interests include reading, drinking tea, making gifsets, and writing fanfiction.
